1. Introduction
opencreators.ai ("OpenCreators", "we", "our", or "us") provides mobile and web tools for creator operations, live stream planning, matching, recap, notifications, and AI-assisted chat features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you when you use our apps, websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This page also explains how to request account deletion and deletion of personal data associated with your OpenCreators app account.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to people who access or use the Services, including creators, agencies, operators, and visitors. If a particular feature or integration has additional privacy terms, those additional terms will apply to that feature to the extent of any conflict.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the categories of information below, depending on how you use the Services and which permissions or integrations you enable:
- Account and sign-in data: if you choose TikTok sign-in, we may receive authentication results and account information made available through that flow, such as your TikTok username, TikTok user identifier, avatar URL, email address (if available), internal OpenCreators account identifier, and session-related credentials. We do not ask you to enter your TikTok password inside the OpenCreators app.
- Profile and onboarding data: email address, email verification code, gender, date of birth, country or region, preferred language, and other profile details you choose to submit while setting up your account.
- Device and technical data: IP address, device or installation identifier, operating system, app version, language, time zone, request headers, network diagnostics, crash reports, and other troubleshooting information.
- Push notification data: Firebase Cloud Messaging ("FCM") registration token, notification permission status, device context associated with a push token, and notification interaction data such as whether you opened or dismissed a push-driven experience.
- Location-related data: if you grant location permission, we may collect current location details or derived location information such as country, region, time zone, or formatted place details to help localize onboarding and product experiences.
- Chat, AI, and feature content: messages, prompts, text inputs, trusted context or payloads you submit, AI-generated outputs, and related metadata needed to operate chat, matching, and recap features.
- Analytics and diagnostics: screen views, feature usage events, performance telemetry, error events, WebSocket diagnostics, permission snapshots, and, where enabled by our configuration, session replay or similar troubleshooting data.
- On-device storage and local state: we may store session data, cached account snapshots, onboarding state, chat caches, push token state, and similar local data on your device to keep the Services working reliably.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and debug the Services.
- Authenticate users through TikTok sign-in and manage account sessions.
- Complete onboarding, verify email addresses, and personalize region and language settings.
- Deliver chat, AI assistance, live recap, matching, and other product features.
- Send service-related notifications, including push notifications, if you have granted permission.
- Measure feature usage, monitor reliability, investigate incidents, and improve product performance and safety.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, services, and business.
5. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to support sign-in, remember preferences, store local state, measure usage, deliver notifications, and improve the Services. On web properties, you can manage cookies through your browser settings. On mobile devices, you can manage app permissions and certain tracking or notification settings through your device controls.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers and infrastructure partners: vendors that help us operate hosting, storage, security, analytics, diagnostics, messaging, and related technical services. Examples may include Firebase Cloud Messaging for push delivery and PostHog for analytics and diagnostics.
- Connected platforms: third-party services you choose to use with our app, such as TikTok sign-in or linked TikTok account features, subject to your authorization and the third party's own terms.
- Legal, safety, and compliance recipients: when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when necessary to protect users, the public, our Services, or our rights.
- Corporate transaction counterparties: if we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent advertising purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain account security, support legitimate business operations, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data, whether your account remains active, our backup cycles, and applicable legal requirements.
When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify the relevant personal information unless a longer retention period is required or permitted for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, auditing, dispute resolution, or enforcement purposes.
8. International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging, and service monitoring. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Account and Data Deletion
If you created or used an OpenCreators app account, including through TikTok sign-in, you may request deletion of your account and personal data associated with that account.
- How to request deletion: email hello@opencreators.ai with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
- Information to include: the email address linked to your account and, if available, your TikTok username or other account identifier so that we can locate the correct account.
- Verification: we may ask you to verify ownership of the account before processing a deletion request.
- What happens after deletion: once a valid request is completed, your account will be deleted or de-identified in our active systems, except where we need to retain limited data for legal, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, backup, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete certain personal information.
- Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
- Request a copy of certain information where applicable.
- Manage device permissions such as notifications and location.
- Disconnect or stop using connected third-party services.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
12. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable local law to consent to data processing. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete that information.
13. Third-Party Services and SDKs
Third-party sites, apps, and SDKs, including TikTok, Firebase, and analytics providers, have their own privacy practices and terms. We encourage you to review those policies because your use of those third-party services is also governed by their rules.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Policy becomes effective means that the updated Policy applies to your use of the Services.
